The workshop
Our craft & artisans
The soul of Kutch lives in every stitch. Each piece is made in small batches in Bhuj, Gujarat, by families who have worked leather and thread for generations.

Where it is made
Our workshop sits in Bhuj, in the Kutch district of Gujarat — a desert region known for leatherwork, mirror embroidery and block printing long before any of it reached a shop shelf. The people who make our bags live within a few kilometres of the bench they work at.
How a bag is made
Hides are chosen by hand and cut with a pattern, not a press. Panels are stitched with a saddler's needle, embroidery is worked separately by the women of the same families, and only then are the two brought together. A single sling bag passes through three or four pairs of hands.
Because everything is made to order in small batches, no two pieces are identical. Slight differences in grain, thread tension and colour are part of the object, not a flaw in it.
What we promise
Honest materials, honest prices, and fair pay to the artisans by the piece. We do not run permanent discounts or invent scarcity — if something is sold out, it is being stitched.
